Bullying

She is an easy target for cyber bullying.

G.I. Joe PSA: Operation Cyber Compassion

[SCENE START]

EXT. CITY STREET – DAY

A person is hunched over their phone, typing furiously with an angry scowl. The screen shows a mean comment about Madonna on a social media feed.

Suddenly, a hand gently rests on their shoulder. They look up, startled.

It’s G.I. JOE, specifically LADY JAYE, looking down with a firm but understanding expression. (Alternatively, DUKE could be used).

LADY JAYE
Excuse me, soldier. Mind telling me what your mission objective is here?

PERSON
(mumbling, defensive)
What? I’m just saying… she’s not what she used to be. Her new stuff is weird. She should just retire.

LADY JAYE
(nods)
I’ve analyzed the situation. You’re deploying hostile content against a high-profile target. But your intel is flawed.

PERSON
Flawed? How?

LADY JAYE
You’re expecting a perfect mission from an imperfect world. You’re expecting her to be perfect.

[QUICK CUT] – A stock shot of Madonna performing, looking strong and iconic.

LADY JAYE (V.O.)
But let me share some classified intel.

[CUT BACK] to Lady Jaye and the person. She leans in, her tone becoming more personal.

LADY JAYE
Nobody’s perfect. Not me. Not you. Not any Joe on the front lines. Not even the Material Girl herself.

She pulls out a tablet and pulls up the song Nobody’s Perfect by Madonna.

LADY JAYE
Before you engage your keyboard again, I need you to review the target’s own briefing. Listen to this. Then, conduct a self-assessment.

She points the tablet’s screen at the person, reflecting their own face back at them.

LADY JAYE
Look in that mirror and identify your own imperfections. Once you acknowledge your own vulnerabilities, you’ll understand why launching that next mean tweet is a mission that hurts us all.

The person looks from their reflection to the tweet draft, then slowly deletes it.

LADY JAYE
(smiling)
A successful mission isn’t about tearing others down. It’s about building a better world. And that starts with you.

[FINAL SLATE]

A classic G.I. Joe title card appears on screen with the text:

“CYBER BULLYING IS A THREAT TO US ALL. KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE.”
